About this site
A small island reef in the southern St. John's complex famous for its cathedral-like caves and tunnels carved through the limestone plateau at 5–15 m. Light shafts pierce the cave roofs at midday, making the site a photographer's favourite. The outer walls drop into the blue and carry dense soft-coral cover; occasional grey reef sharks patrol the deeper edge.
Highlights
- Cathedral-like caves with overhead light shafts at midday
- Shallow tunnels suitable for non-cave-certified divers (no overhead at <12 m)
- Dense soft-coral curtains on the outer walls
- Glassfish swarms inside the bigger caves
