Sha'ab Samadai is a horseshoe-shaped reef rising from deep water around 9 km off Marsa Alam. A pod of around 60β80 spinner dolphins uses the protected lagoon as a daytime rest area. Access is regulated by the Hurghada Environmental Protection and Conservation Association (HEPCA) - boats and swimmers stay outside designated zones to prevent stress. Combine the dolphin lagoon experience with two scuba dives along the outer reef walls, packed with hard corals, anthias, and reef life. When conditions allow, the second dive can be planned around the Long Canyon route for a more dramatic reef profile.
