Plastic granules from the cargo still scattered around. Environmental story too.

The Hamada is a cargo wreck that sank in 1993 just off the village of Abu Ghusun. At 5–18 m, it's one of Egypt's most accessible and photogenic wrecks.
Hamada Wreck . Gallery
The Hamada was a Cypriot cargo vessel carrying plastic granules when it sank in 1993 in shallow water just off Abu Ghusun. The wreck rests on its port side in 5–18 metres, broken into clear sections and entirely accessible - ideal for first wreck dives, photographers, and divers who want to combine wreck and reef in a single outing. The adjacent reefs offer healthy hard corals and a resident community of fish.

My first wreck dive. The Hamada is perfect for beginners, shallow, easy to navigate.

A world-class Red Sea shark dive: oceanic whitetips, seasonal hammerheads, reef mantas, and sheer blue walls.
Spinner dolphins in a protected horseshoe reef just offshore.
Beach-entry shore dives with resident turtles and a real chance at a dugong.
