About this site
A submerged pinnacle in the northern St. John's reef complex, rising from deep water to within 12 m of the surface. The pinnacle is densely coated in soft corals and gorgonian fans and acts as a magnet for big animals from the open sea — grey reef sharks circle the deep slope year-round, scalloped hammerheads pass through in summer, and oceanic whitetips occasionally appear in the blue. Currents wrap around the pinnacle and can switch direction during a dive; for advanced divers only, with a strict safety stop on the line.
